The Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Bagbin has told parliamentarians to make sure the revenue amassed by the government is wielded for the interest of the public.

Hon. Bagbin speaking about the 2022 budget, he that stakeholders of the various economy should be engaged to asked questions about some salient issues in the budget.

Continuing, speaking to the parliamentarians, he spoke up saying, doing this will give the country a clear direction as to which way to go in fulfilling our mandates and oversight responsibilities as legislators.
Again, Hon. Bagbin said that financial oversight is very important function of the Parliament.
He also asserted if the parliamentarians do not accept the legislation the government won't tax anybody.
And if they authorize the government to tax the general public to raise revenue and approve a program for the government to implement how to raise the revenue.
