GRADES MIGHT NOT MATTER AFTER SCHOOL, PLAN TO BEGIN YOUR OWN BUSINESSES - BAWUMIA TO FRESH GRADUATES.

At the 13th congragation of the University of Mines and Technology(UMAT), the deputy minister of Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour read a speech on behalf of the vice President of Ghana, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In the speech, Dr. Bawumia admonished graduates to venture into entrepreneurship and start out their own businesses as was recently said by the finance miniser, Hon. Ken Ofori Atta during a speech at the University of Professional Studies(UPSA).

According to Vice President, Bawumia, employment opportunities do exist in the public sector for graduates but he still advised graduates  that developing their own businesses will help them build a stronger future for themselves and thus, reflect a sound future for the country through development.

He also mentioned that, grades and academic scores might not matter after school and that there is a greater gain from setting up one's business and employing people than to work under someone.



“...some of you should start planning to begin your own businesses...and possibly employ others,” he said.
