AFRICA NEEDS AN UTMOST OF 20 OF AKUFO-ADDO’S LEADERSHIP TO ADVANCE - ALIKO DANGOTE

Africa’s most wealthy businessman, Aliko Dangote has asserted that the African continent only needs an utmost of 20 out of its total 54 presidents to be imaginative leaders to comprehend advancement.



The Nigerian billionaire mogul speaking at a conference coordinated by the African Center for Economic Transformation in Accra explained that an utmost of 20 presidents with an imagination like Ghanaian President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, and Alassane Ouattara of Ivory Coast will impel the mainland towards attaining evolution.


“We do not need to have all 54 countries to have imaginative governors. What we require is a maximum of 20 of the likes of Presidents of Ghana, Rwanda, and Côte d'Ivoire,” he expressed.


“No power, no growth. We need to make sure we tackle the problem of power,” the billionaire said at the first panel discussion at the Development Finance Forum (DFF) held in Accra.

He further pointed out that the ineffectual allotment of power on the continent endangers the survival of minor companies as revenue generated by such companies ultimately goes into acquiring fuel for power generators.
