Alhaji Mohammed Mashud Wins 2021 Ghana National Best Farmer Award

 44-year-old farmer, Mr. Alhaji Mohammed Mashud who comes from the Mion District in the Northern region has been awarded the National Best Farmer prize for 2021. 



Alhaji Mashud would receive GH¢600,000 in cash and an insurance cover amounting to GH¢500,000 after he was named the National Best Farmer for 2021.  


The first runner up, Suleman Yidana from the North East Region would receive a tractor and disc plough,  GH¢200,000 insurance cover, a study trip to Israel and a sprayer.


The second runner-up, Rev Samuel Sida from the Ahafo Region also attained a Nissan Navara pickup and an insurance cover of GH¢200,000. 


The Best fisherman prize went to Mr. Kweku Ehun of the Gomoa East District of the Central Region who earned a two-bedroom house to be constructed at a setting of his preference. 


Other regional award winners were also rewarded. About 160 farmers were been awarded in various categories at the 37th National Famers Day Awards event organized in Cape Coast.
