The Court of Appeal has invalidated Akuapem Poloo’s 90-day jail period and rather imposed a fined her a total amount of GHC 12,000.
On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, Lawyers of found guilty actress Rosemond Alade Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo filed a notice of appeal at the Court of Appeal protesting the clearance of her request by the High Court.
On Monday, December 1, 2021, the High Court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey rejected her Appeal attempting a non-custodial sentence instead of a custodial sentence.

The High Court ruled that the 90 days custodial sentence imposed on her by the Circuit Court was not “manifestly excessive” and “harsh” and therefore cannot interfere with that judgment.
Five days after, her lawyers led by Andrew Kudzo Vortia have filed a notice of appeal to challenge that decision and notice for bail.
The actress will be free after her fine conditions are met.
