STONEBWOY SHARES HIS THOUGHTS ON NIGERIANS PROMOTING AFRICAN ARTS

Ghanaian Dancehall act, Stonebwoy, CEO of Burniton Music Group, has also added his voice on Nigerians promoting other African countries’ music.

This issue came to the table after Shatta Wale gave his comments on Nigerians not showing much support to other African countries’ music as other countries do for Nigerian musicians.

This issue then attracted a wider audience and got a lot of musicians and entertainment moguls reacting to Shatta Wale’s comments.

Just recently, Stonebwoy has added his voice to it by sharing a post on his Twitter profile.

Stonebwoy started saying, “ we are all Africans before we got separated into individual nations. African history and migration studies confirm that there is more that unites us than divides us”.

He continued saying, “ All African countries have a quota to contribute to the entertainment and creative arts scene. We should support each other equally.

He also added that Nigeria is doing well in putting African music on the globe due to its strong population amongst other qualities.

Stonebwoy let out that Shatta Wale’s approach may be wrong but the topic of Nigeria not showing the same love to other African countries’ music should not be looked down upon.

Stonebwoy concluded by saying “we should love our neighbors as we love ourselves. This means Ghanaians and other African countries should emulate the Nigerian approach and prioritize an agenda to invest in and support our local talents.
