LIONEL MESSI SUGGESTS THE CLUB HE COULD FINISH HIS CAREER

Paris Saint-Germain star and seven-time Ballon D’or winner Lionel Messi has insinuated that he could play in the United States in the future.



At one stage it seemed that Lionel Messi could spend his entire senior career at Barcelona, but his lengthy spell at the Nou Camp came to an end last summer.


The Argentine thereon signed for the French club, PSG, where his contract operates until the summer of 2023.

It persists to see whether the 34-year-old will stay at PSG beyond then, but he has suggested that the United States is a probable destination for him to finalize his football career.


As broadcasted by The Mirror, Lionel Andres Messi said: 'I always have had the fantasy of being able to relish and live the experience of living in the United States, of discovering how that league is, what life is like there.


'I would like to later in my career but if it transpires or not, I don't know.'

Lionel Messi's term at PSG hasn't gone wholly to plan so far - he has scored just one goal in eleven league matches.


Nevertheless, he has scored five goals in five Champions League games and will aspire to assist PSG in securing honor in that competition.



The chance of Messi ultimately playing in the United States is captivating, and if he did pursue that alternative then Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, could look to sign him. New York City FC may also contemplate a move.


Before joining PSG there had been talking of a probable move to English club, Manchester City, but it remains to be seen if he will ever play in the Premier League.




Another feasible selection for Messi is a return to his aboriginal country Argentina, and he formerly suggested that he could head back to Newell's Old Boys, who he played for as a youngster.
