As the curtain-raiser to the new year 2022 has started, Spotify has unveiled a list that ranks numerous musicians about how Spotify's 365 million users listened to their music craft across the globe.
When the year 2021 started the world was starting to slowly land out of the quarantined lifestyle in 2020 due to the Covid 19 disease outbreak to adopt the new life living.
Spotify then reached the expanse of Ghana in line with the increase of audio streaming in Sub-Saharan Africa.
This is the fifth year Spotify is releasing the top artists, albums, songs, and playlists through Wrapped.
The Ghanaian local musicians really performed this year as numerous local artists were able to top most of the Wrapped lists.
In Ghana, Rap, Afropop, Afro dancehall, and Azonto beats were among the top genres as nightclubs reopened and music lovers got their trench on.
Sarkodie’s No Pressure album was the most streamed album in Ghana ahead of Wizkid’s Made In Lagos, Justin Beiber's Justice album, Drake's Certified Lover Boy album and Kanye West's Donda album.
BET award winner, Sarkodie also was the at the top of the most streamed artists in Ghana ahead of Drake, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Kwesi Arthur.
